1. Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”)
Globally, businesses are recognizing the opportunities and benefits from corporate sustainability, including green growth areas such as green financing, carbon trading and services, renewable energy, waste management and greening supply chains. Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) With the 27th Conference of the Parties of UNFCC (COP 27) in Egypt from 6-18 November 2022, the B20 Summit Indonesia in Bali which includes the 1st edition of the “B20 Sustainability 4.0 Awards from 13-14 November 2022 and the G20 Bali Summit from 15-16 November 2022, there is increasing focus and urgency to implement sustainability initiatives to tackle climate change challenges. The movement towards sustainability has begun accelerating on several fronts, from smart logistics and master planning to the increase in demand for smart and green buildings. Both banking organizations and private companies are also embracing and integrating sustainability in their operations to be in line with Indonesia Exchange’s ‘comply or explain ruling’, or to mitigate the impact of the upcoming carbon tax.

2. Commodity Trade Finance (“CTF”)
This programme is designed to allow participants to not only understand conceptual knowledge, it also allows participants to explore each topic with interactive discussion and sharing of perspectives by attendees from varied industries. The programmes also provide opportunities for real life case studies which are relevant to the current environment.

Commodity Trade Finance (“CTF”) As a large trading economy, Indonesia exports a lot of its natural resources from coal and iron to agricultural products such as palm oil and timber. Indonesia also imports a lot of products from overseas such as consumer goods and steel. A lot of these activities involve trading of such goods across borders. This program will enable participants to be armed with more knowledge of how to trade and what to look out for when they are involved in trading activities. These sessions will prove to be very useful especially for Bankers, Traders, Government Agency Employees, Business Owners and Managers. Even for participants who are already knowledgeable about trade finance, these sessions will also refresh their know how by co-learning through practical cases and interactive discussions with the trainers, and also through sharing with fellow participants in the sessions.
